Laurinda Dovey
Laurinda Dovey
Training & Development Consultant

”The thing that is most satisfying to me is having a positive impact on someone else. This is probably why I enjoy both my roles in training and development as well as what I do in the fitness industry. When someone comes up to me after a training session saying that they are going to make changes as a result of the information presented or when they have that “aha” moment during the session, I am thrilled.”

Laurinda has worked for 20 years in administration, management and training and development in the public sector.  Her experience includes training and development, recruitment, creation of new employee orientation programs, performance management, policy & procedure development to improve standardization as well as supervising in a unionized environment.  Laurinda has used her own practical experience and knowledge to develop business training programs for many organizations, both private and public sector.  She is a contributing author on the subject of communications in the book entitled, “Awakening the Workplace, Volume II”.

Laurinda has also worked in the fitness industry for 13 years and enjoys motivating her clients to improve their overall health and fitness levels.  Her series of health and wellness workshops is listed on her website at www.horizonsunlimited.ca.
